1988 Holden Commodore VL review from Australia and New Zealand
"VL turbo with rb20 bite, simply devastating"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
So far I have had only minor problems with my car, I had a leaking heater hose, this only cost two dollars to replace and a snapped power steering belt which came as a great surprise at 60km/h mid corner.
General comments?
My vl turbo is different to most VL turbos as I am running the rb20det motor from an R32 skyline gts-t. This is a 2 litre twin cam Japanese import motor.
The motor bolts straight up to the standard 3 litre engine mounts and will also bolt straight up to the standard VL gearbox.
Standard this motor produces 165 kw, as compared to the 3 litre turbo's 150kw.
