1987 Dodge Dakota LE review from North America
"Forget the Dakota, get a RAM"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Cab mounts, Exhaust, Rear brakes about 3 times, Numerous oil leak repairs and it still leaks, CV boots 2 times, Fuel lines 2 times, Starter, Pick up in the distributor.
General comments?
This has been the worse truck I have ever owned. The worse part is we have only put 50 k miles on it in 5 years and it hardly gets driven. Unless it is in 4 wheel drive it will not go anywere in the snow. The 3.9 V-6 has proven to be very dissipointing power wise. It leaks oil every were and just about every seal and gasket has been replaced. It loves to blow brake and fuel lines. We can't keep a good set of CV boots on it either. The rear brakes also seem to wear prematurely and the dealer has told us it is a common problem on the Dakota's. Its time for another RAM.
