1993 Ford Scorpio GLX review from Netherlands
"A fantastic, distinguished car at a low price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The indicator of malfunction of the right headlamp broke down.
The starting-motor (wear after 205,000 kilometers).
Rust at the weldings of both wheel-arches.
Rust at the brake fluid lines.
General comments?
This car is a bit lazy in the low revs, but has enough pulling power for quick acceleration.
The big engine doesn't mean much fuel consumption (1 liter per 10/11 kilometers)
It's a great car to drive long distances because you won't get tired.
The Ford Scorpio gives an effortless drive.
In the Netherlands it's an undervalued car, so you can buy one for a very reasonable price.
