1990 Peugeot 205 GTi review from UK and Ireland
"A classic high performance hot hatch"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The radiator was leaking & causing overheating.
driveshafts needed replacing (68000) (general wear & tear)
drivers seat is now in ribbons on the outer side.
needed new radiator @68000 miles along with new hoses.
General comments?
This car will most certainly become a true classic, with its combination of extreme power & superior handling.
Despite its age, it still looks fresh in its design, both inside & out.
The 205 GTi is undoubtably a drivers car.
Very fuel economical.
Unfortunaly due to the 205's ECU (Engine control unit), it is incredably 'jerky' at slow speeds, making slow moving traffic a real pain.
For a tall driver, the 205 has a minimal amount of head clearance.
