1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS review from North America
"A great car for it's price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I replaced the alternator when I first acquired the car.
The exhaust cam rotated and I replaced the timing belt to prevent valve problems.
I lost use of 3rd gear and the transmission died altogether.
General comments?
This is a very reliable car.
The Non-Turbo 2.0 is a strong motor at 145 horsepower reaching 145mph with a good stretch of road.
Handles very nice throughout the corners, but has a mild under-steer problem.
Transmission are very touchy and break easily (automatics and manuals) and are noted for this.
