1993 Citroen ZX Volcane review from UK and Ireland
"Light, fanstastic and fast!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
* Battery @ 80,000 mls.
* Radiator @ 100,000 mls.
* Front/rear brake pads (x2 a year)
* Rear break calipers 115,000 mls.
* Electric windows sticks 67,000 mls.
* Heavy tyre wear.
General comments?
Being turbo-diesel, and having some plastic / light weight body parts made an awesome combination. Fantastic power, nimble handling and a real pleasure to drive (also cheap to run).
The interior of mine (Volcane) was well thoughout and finished off "properly".
Despite all the faults - the car never broke down in an inconvenient place - it just wouldn't start the next day - or allowed me to progress to my destination and then stopped.
I'd have no hesitation at recommending this car - it was fantastic - and my first "proper" car. I'd say that service history is important though.
