1977 Holden HZ PREMIER review from Australia and New Zealand
"Italian or Japanese supercars don't even come close!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car is my baby, and the quickest, most frightening machine I've ever driven
since the full rebuild, not a thing has gone wrong with the car, except general wear and tear like brake pads and such.
General comments?
Fastest, most animal of a car I've ever owned or driven.
Fuel economy is not a concern.
Certainly worth all the money I've spent on it.
it runs 9.3 second quarter miles (with nos) - you do the math!
I've spent nearly $20,000 on the car, such as; stroker 383 engine spitting out 445 rear wheel kilowatts (dynoed),
adjustable suspension with full strut braces and sway bars, completley re trimmed interior, $4500 pioneer sound system, complete bare metal re-spray, mini - tubbed rear end with detroit locker 9 inch diff, detailed undercarriage, dba brake rotors etc, but its worth every cent.
i dont think i could ever part with it!
this is the best car ive ever owned and probably ever will; kinda scary seeing as my 50 year old mum used to drive it every day!
when I launch it, and the front wheels get off the ashphalt, the guys in their little hotted up turbos know they've lost already.
I have to make a hard choice now; to marry my fiance', or the car!
If you see me on the streets ( plates - THUMPR) say g'day and ask to come for a ride.
You wont be disappointed.
