1998 Dodge Ram Pickup SLT review from North America
"The truck looks good and is comfortable, but performs like a dog!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The catalytic converter plugged up at 45,000 miles.
Oil consumption became high, 1 quart per
900 miles or less at 50,000 miles.
I called the dealer about this and asked
if oil consumption caused cat converter problems.. they said no that oil consumption was "normal"
All mechanics laughed at Dodge service replies.
Gas consumption has become high 8.5 miles / gal premium gas.
Compression tests show good.. smog tests fine.. lousy power to pull trailers gas consumption then goes to 5 mpg.
General comments?
Dodge warranty is worth nothing if they constantly take the stand "yep that's normal!" for Dodge Ram only!
