2000 Kia Sephia L.S. review from North America

Had to have fuse box replaced at 24,000 miles (my fault, I took it to the car wash and hosed down the engine to clean it and water got in the fuse box and shorted it out)

Enging misfired at 63,000 miles. Probabally my fault. You are supposed to have plugs, wires and fuel filter replaced every 30,000 miles and I still had the originals.

Factory tires..Kuhmo??? They're junk, replace them with a good set and the car handels much better and feels much better.

The interior seems kind of plasticy, could have use better quality materials.

Overall, I really can't complain about this car. Sure it's nothing great, but I drive about 450 miles a week and need something good on gas. Most of my driving is to work and school, which of course you don't exactly need a Jag for that.

With 64,000 miles on it, it has been in the shop only twice for things that were probabally my fault.

I get approx. 300 miles to the tank, so fuel efficiency is good.

Right now when I drive it above 60mph. it shimmys a bit, but with the miles on it, it probabally needs new shocks or struts or something.

Also, when the emergency brake is loose, the spring will rub on the rear wheel hub assembly, making a squeeling sound. Just tighten the e-brake and it's taken care of.

Sorry to say though, I would not buy another Kia product due to all of the neg. comments I'm reading. I just thank God, none of it has happened to me. I'm just lucky I guess!
