1999 Hyundai Accent GS review from North America
"A good bargain if you don't mind being stuck on the side of the highway at three in the morning"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electrical problems that the dealership cannot solve accurately.
First of two alternators replaced at 18,000 miles.
First of three radio's replaced at 18,000 miles.
Headlights, tail lights, and dashboard lights have blown often and need to be replaced quite frequently.
Check engine light comes on often.
Four oxygen sensor's have been installed, the first being at 15,000 miles.
General comments?
The car was relatively cheap, but not even worth the 11,000 dollars I spent on it.
One positive point is the 36 miles to the gallon that the Accent gets.
The car is small and ideal for city parking.
The car is also slow, and often difficult to drive when using an expressway or highway.
