1993 Citroen AX Debut review from UK and Ireland
"A fun economy drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had to fit three new tires, two when new and one at last MOT in January, they were cheap though- about £42.50 for new branded ones.
My neighbors are snobs and they hate it!
General comments?
Insurance is shockingly cheap!
No adult will ever fit in the back, trust me, I tried it!
The pedals take some getting used to, they are offset to the left and you could end up driving other cars in this position, which is fun.
It cost me £470, when nine years old with just over 40,000 miles on the clock, bargain!
It does 40mpg, round town, stopping and starting- with me driving, which is seriously good, considering how I drive!
Security features when new were abysmal, get a cheap steering lock for about £10, an alarm, or imobolizer, from about £40 and you will be fine, it might even bring your insurance down.
Buy carefully, only well serviced, low mileage ones should be on your list.
