1995 Mazda 323 GXi review from UK and Ireland
"A reliable sexy nippy hatch back"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Drivers side lock stiff, fixed by fiddling with it.
General comments?
My last car was extremely unreliable and virtually bankrupted me in repairs, I can't understand why anybody owns BMW's they are poor.
I purchased this car because of its stunning looks and its attractive price tag. I thought it would make a good stop gap until I can get out of debt. But have fell in love with it since I have had it.
Its one of if not the best looking hatch backs out there. Plus the engine is a miracle, I went on a rolling road to make sure it was running OK after I bought it, the 105bhp developed showed the engine was in good nick. No smoke and passes emissions test with flying colours. I bought this car as a stop gap, but actually think I will be keeping it for a few years yet.
The car is nippy too for a 1.5 it car beat 9/10 cars from lights and revs so happily to its rev limiter at 6500rpm.
If your out there driving a boring beamer or the all too common focus, trade it in for one of these and then take several long distance holidays with the money saved. I know I will when I pay off the ex-wifes credit card bills.
