1999 Chevrolet Blazer LS review from North America
"A good vehicle, but very expensive to maintain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have replaced 2 front wheel barrings at a cost of $800.00.The metal door pins have rusted and the doors will not shut correctly. The back window cleaner will not work, and the back wiper blade does not even touch the glass. This vehicle has more creaks and groans then anything that I have ever driven in. The 2nd week that I owned it the seat adjuster handle on the driver's side came off right in my hand, and had to be adjusted with a pair of plier's.
General comments?
This vehicle even though being a pain in the pocketbook, is pretty reliable and the 4 wheel drive runs great. I have other family who own a 1999 Blazer, 4 door and have had the same problems with the Wheel Barrings. If only GM would recall and take responsibility, then I and I'm sure a whole lot of other people would be much happier and more likely to keep their 99 Chevy Blazer's.
