2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT review from North America
"Too costly to repair for a new car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Sparks and Wires needed replacing at 62,000 miles.
Timing belt needed replacing at 62,000 miles.
General comments?
The car has been reliable, but be prepared to go to the bank at 60,000 miles. The tune-up costs $695, and the timing belt $995. Add in fuel injection cleaning and a little brake maintenance and you will need about $2,000. I thought I bought a new car so I didn't have to repair it. Think again!
