1979 Ford F250 review from North America
"Amazing!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
New starter, new alternator, had an exhaust leak when I got it, needed some rewiring in the taillights, the line going into the front fuel tank corroded and was a task to repair without buying a new connector (*it was about midnight when it started acting up*), tranny rebuilt last year after driving from Edmonton (alberta) to Denali (alaska) and then on to Toronto (Ontario), need a new carburetor (*not really a concern*) will install a transmission cooler and new calipers next week.
Going down the road,,, there isn't another truck i'd rather be driving.
General comments?
Pulls like a charm, but never had any big loads...full-floating rear axle is a plus, long bed great for packing the truck full, or carrying a canoe, cab has lots of room, with a compact glove box.. room behind the seat for tools is good, and ample space in the engine compartment.
