1996 Chrysler Sebring Coupe LXI review from North America

"If you like spending money buy this car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Brakes have to be replaced like every 3 months.

Passenger side seat is getting stuck

at the bottom making it hard to slide

it forward or to adjust to passengers

desired leg space.

Engine light used to turn on and off frequently until finally it turned on and has stayed on ever since.

Rotors are super wasted and need to be replaced because I've already had them cut a bunch of times to stop screeching noise.

Oxygen sensors also have to be replaced

and there is 5 of them so I called the Chrysler dealership and they said it costs about $85 each sensor.

Front lights are all foggy need to be replaced because they look messed up (not clear) around $300-something for pair according to Chrysler.

Transmission was rebuilt on about the 3 month of when I got my car. Cost about $1200.

Transmission went out so I bought a new one $1900.

Car stopped working all of a sudden.

So I thought it was the spark plugs

because it had power, but didn't want to start. (it just made a noise like if something is spinning, but not allowing the car to start). So I took it to get a complete tune up.

Spent about $120 on parts alone (made sure they were performace parts). Spark pluggs, wires, transmission oil change, timing belt and everything. Plus I had to pay for labor so it came out to about $350 total cause spark plugs are underneath the top layer and all that junk.

After all that Car still didn't turn on.

Took to another shop and they said it was the Valves that were bent and the Engine heads were messed up.

Valves were resurfaced and polished and heads were replaced. That's 24 valves about $17 a valve *figure it out. Plus around $350 for labor that's what my cousin's husband will charge me cause labor for that was about $500-$600 (so he's hooking me up with a very low price compared to other locations I got estimates from).

Plus I had to buy all the gasket kit. Which cost about $180 at O Reilly Auto parts.

After my cousins husband who works at a shop had all of that replaced he said that the car still doesn't want to turn on.

*Now he says it might be a sensor of some kind...

General comments?

Car looks great all.

Get great compliments because I got it all pretty from the outside.

Race wing, White Race rims,

K&N chrome intake.

Definitely turns heads, but it's a piece of junk.

Very non reliable car.

First and Last time I buy a Chrysler.
