1990 Nissan Sentra Base review from North America
"It kept going and going!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The alternator, radiator, exhaust, were all new.
The rust was getting very bad.
Two newer tires from the wreckers.
We got the air conditioning up and running when car was purchased.
Nissa (that was her name) finally went off to a better place. With over 300,000km she certainly did well.
The cause of death was that the timing chain went, and I didn't know till it dug in to the bottom of the oil pan. This then created a large oil leak.
General comments?
If well maintained you can easily drive these cars to about 400,000km.
I found the car would lug going uphill.
Never once left me stranded, even when the timing chain went and with the oil leak, I still drove her to the dump.
These cars aren't quitters, there like Energizer bunnies.
Great car for trips, had lots of space, comfortable seats.
Best car I've ever driven with such good fuel economy.
I even learned to drive standard on her.
