1995 Chevrolet Blazer LX review from North America

"Lemon. Chevy should allow these as trade-ins for thousands above bluebook"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Broken CV boot at time of purchase from Ernhardt Ford in Tempe, AZ.

The Sway arm under the car had to be welded back in place.

The 4 wheel drive switch had to be replaced.

The EGR valve was replaced which was no longer under warranty.

The fuel injection becan to spider? Causing a domino effect of problems.$900.

The cadalactic converter went out as result of fuel injection problems.

The exaust system had to be replaced as result of cadalactic converter.

The transmition had to be rebuilt at a sum of $2200.

The tork converter also was replaced.

Began having problems starting, just wouldn't turn over.

Was running very sluggish. No power when I flored it.

Now the vehicle won't start at all.

General comments?

This vehicle has been the biggest nightmare you could imagine. I never thought I could have so many problems with a Chevy. I have put so much money into this vehicle. It is paid off and I still can't afford it due to the cost of all the repairs. I don't really need to go into details as I have yet to speak with an owner of a 95 Blazer who said anything good about it. I have always heard that this was Chevy's "lemon". It must be true. I empathize with all of your stories and have been through all of the same situations. I have always been so into Chevy and now that I am going to buy a new vehicle (not used) I am very torn. I don't want to buy another Chevy "lemon" however, I also feel maybe I just got a bad one. I can tell you that neither myself nor anyone in my family will ever purchase another vehicle from Earnhardt Ford in Tempe. They sold me a "lemon" and they should have known. It had problems from the date of purchase that they agreed to fix. After waiting 8 hours in the waiting room of the service department and being told my car had been fixed, I found it had never been touched. They lied to me. Go figure right!

Now my Blazer is an ornament in my driveway that won't even start. It sounds like it wants to start, but almost like it's not getting the gas it needs to start. My gas mileage right now is outragious at about 9 MPG. I just can't afford it anymore. I will never own another SUV and I highly doubt I will spend $35,000. on a new Chevy pickup that could also end up being another Chevy "lemon".
