1998 Ford Ranger XLT review from North America
"A great truck at a reasonable price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine would surge while idling in park. Replaced idle control sensor and have no problems since.
General comments?
I really love my Ranger. It is reliable and a joy to drive, on road or off.
My husband and I are both small and feel like the Ranger was built for us, since the cab is relatively small and cozy. May not be so great for tall people.
Pretty much worthless in snow in 2WD, but kick in 4x4 and you're off and going with no problem.
Rugged built, tough truck.
Great looking truck.
I never feel uneasy taking long trips by myself with this truck. It's that reliable.
Sucks up the gas pretty well, but don't they all?
