2001 Renault Laguna Sport Tourer review from UK and Ireland
"A stylish family carrier, I love it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The rear boot lock was acting quite bad, but I adjusted it (making it close deeper helps) and it works perfectly now.
General comments?
I love this car, it has the looks, its fairly cheap to run (I get 35+mpg) and until now it has been perfectly reliable, I can't complain.
I'd ask for more power, but I wasn't ready to get the V6 so for the 1.8 it has plenty of power for the weight, it is not a Sport car, but it behaves quite impressive.
I'm happy I bought this Renault, I have read the problems on this website regarding to 2001 Lagunas and had a talk with other owners in the dealer I use to service my car and they all have no complains about it so I guess it was a bad batch of vehicles, just that. Ever seen the 350k+ Focus being recalled? Not that is bad luck... : (
