2001 Oldsmobile Bravada review from North America
"It would be a great suburban car is they could make a reliable all-wheel drive transmission."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission sometimes 'bumps' when in reverse. The feeling is as if the car ran over something with its rear wheels or ran into something.
An early complaint to an Oldsmobile dealer during the first year I had the car was responded to with " We couldn't duplicate the problem so there was nothing to do." The problem persists.
I also had a problem with the transmission on my 1996 Bravada soon after the warranty ran out... the car would not shift into reverse so I had to spend over $3,000 on transmission work.
General comments?
Overall, I like the car and love the security of all-wheel drive.
I commute 45 miles each way, every day; the ride is very comfortable and the handling responsive for an SUV.
