1970 Mercury Cougar XR7 review from North America
"Good looks and awesome power"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Old Age. Exposure to 10 years of Arizona sun, just sitting there somewhere.
General comments?
No rust. runs and drives even after no driving since 1991. slapped on a new Holley Street Avenger and it started right up. this car could climb trees, it has so much torque. The interior is very comfortable, especially the back seats. Now the car is in my garage for a total restoration. No rust makes it easy to restore. The 1970 - 1969 Cougars are to me the best looking cars ever made. The hide away lights and sequential rear blinkers are very cool.
Its getting hard to find good ones these days. I feel very fortunate to have one.
Now I have to find a good 1937 1-1/2 ton ford truck.
