1967 Renault 10 review from North America
"I very interesting, typical European econo-box, with lots of entertainment and cheap performance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car has blown one head gasket in its life with me. It has also used plenty of brakes, tires, and batteries.
General comments?
Other than the fact that it is a typical, underpowered European car, from the 60's, the car performs well. It has an interesting Automatic transmission, that is really a manual gear box that is switched by electronic gadgets, pre computer chip control, and servos and uses an electro magnetic clutch. It sounds, and feels like a manual shift, but you don't have to do anything, but hold down on the gas. It even decelerates the engine for you, so it doesn't over rev between shifts. It is truely amazing to drive.
