1989 Nissan 240SX Hatchback review from North America
"Reliable sporty car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear spoiler rusted off.
Exhaust system had to be frequently replaced.
Power Rear Antenna long since gone.
Power steering pump died, leaked fluid onto alternator which died as well.
Frame completely rusted (that's the Canadian Winter's fault, and not really the car though).
General comments?
I have had a few issues with this car, but in reality it has been a very solid, very reliable car.
The rear seats are so tiny they are practically useless, but the rear trunk in the hatchback is very large and easily accessible.
The power doesn't seem to be enough for the car, but the handling is excellent.
All in all, I am extremely happy with this car and it has been almost 100% reliable, no engine work at > 300kms is amazing.
