1986 Wartburg Knight review from Russia
"A warbling masterpiece!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Slight nudge mark in front offside wing after clipping a Polski Fiat 126BIS just outside Krawkow on a trip to Poland. The Polski driver was swigging from a bottle of Stolichnaya as he hit me with another two empty bottles rolling around in the passenger footwell.
Bob weight governor failed
Mild fluid leak from below drivers seat.
Rear seat sheared off its mountings in a collison with a Yak.
Severe condensation on front windscreen overnight causing Motley Crue sticker to fall off repeatedly.
General comments?
A superb all round vehicle that could out drag a Moskovitch 412 from the lights three up.
Not a bird puller, but one for getting the black market goods home safely in.
Easy fluid maintenance.
