1989 Eagle Summit DL review from North America
"A people mover with speed and control"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought this car from a guy who sells them on a church corner. The came from FL so its enterior was faded. Now the car has any paint because of there person who owned the car before me had it inproperly respriad.
This car got great gas mileage when I bought it, now it only gets like 15 per gallon.
The complete exaust system rusted out on me at 49000 miles, but the car is 14 years old.
The check engine light is staying on and I don't know why. It does through back a lot of oil into the air intake system, so it my be an oxygen sensor.
General comments?
The only thing not original on this car is the paint. I have the oringinal brake pads still on, original exaust system, which now needs to be replaced.
Car handles excelent!
It will get great gas mileage agian once I fix what ever is causing my problems.
I just wish Mitsubishi bought Eagle when AMC droped the line. It simlar look alike is not even made by Mitsibusi anymore. Too bad it was a good sports sudan.
