1985 Chrysler LeBaron Town & Country Wagon review from North America
"Solid station wagon, very comfortable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The heads on the 2.6L Mitsubishi engine seem to have a tendency to crack at around 120000 miles. Since I bought the car, I've had 3 heads installed. They are not cheap! They tend to crack between the intake and exhaust valves.
Also, since this car is still carburetted instead of fuel injected, it needs more maintenance and adjustments to keep it running good.
The rest of the car is rock solid. Mine has all power options, and everything still works perfectly. Its very comfortable, and still looks good.
General comments?
It's a comfortable, roomy car.
Unfortunately, the engine is pretty unreliable.
Stay away from the 2.6L Mitsubishi engine, go for the 2.2 or 2.5 liter engines instead.
