1980 Volkswagen Vanagon wolfsburg review from North America
"There is a reason they started making these water cooled."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
These vanagons are just plain too heavy for an air cooled engine. It weighs twice what the previous buses weighed, and uses the same engine... a 1980 Vanagon with only 40,00 miles... you figure it out...it's because they run consistently at 225 degrees, rather than the regular 180 degrees fahrenheit, and they are too heavy. The worst vehicle I ever owned!
