1998 Suzuki Alto Vxi review from India
"High on Reliability, Low on the X-Factor"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
On a marathon trip of about 10000 km, the brakes failed after the liners had become too hot. There was smoke being emitted from the drums. We allowed the car to cool off for about 45 minutes after which it was back to normal.
Both Axle have been changed recently.
General comments?
The plastics used inside the car are cheap
The body noise is excessive.
Seats ergonomically designed, very good for long drives.
Gears are short, hence frequent changing required in city traffic.
