1989 Mitsubishi Galant GSR review from Australia and New Zealand
"The perfect car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
ECS (Electronically adjustable suspension)
has failed and has dropped the front of the car, leaving it very low and very firm.
Engine has multiple small oil leaks.
General comments?
The interior is perfectly designed, it is very luxurious and spacious.
The speedo and tachometer are gigantic, far bigger than the vr-4 or any other car I've ever seen.
It has 102Kw at 6000rpm and 176Nm at 5000rpm which makes it very quick.
The 4g63 engine, as used in the Mitsubishi evolution range is bulletproof. I can take it happily to 8000rpm.
The GSR was an expensive car when new and its high build quality shows 14 years on with no rust, interior wear, cracking or mechanical problems.
