1984 Volkswagen Rabbit L review from North America
"This is one of the best all around cars ever made"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Seats have started to wear badly.
One constant velocity joint exploded.
Injectors have been rebuilt.
Many brakes and tires.
Two clutches.
Many assorted electrical gremlins.
Many items have worn out and been replaced.
General comments?
The suprising thing with this car is how many original "wear" items are still functioning. For example the starter and alternator have never been touched.
I think that this is one of the most durable cars ever made.
It is like driving a quick, nimble little go-cart on the streets and I enjoy it.
