1994 Toyota 4Runner SR5 review from North America
"Reliable, well thought out vehicle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Brakes were bad when purchased.
Small nut behind transmission corroded and created coolant leak. had to drop transmission to fix. $405 in labor for a $5 part install. Ouch.
Oxygen sensor is slowly going.
General comments?
Overall this is a very comfortable, useful and well laid out truck.
It handles fairly well, has a pretty comfortable ride, and compared with friend's trucks from other manufacturers, I'd say it's definitely my preference among mid-size SUVs.
The only running issue I have is the poor gas mileage. Less than 15mpg in town. I know it's a truck, but it's a smaller one, and I would like to see more.
