1996 Alfa Romeo 146 Ti review from UK and Ireland
"Great Smart Practical GTi"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Pretty much nothing went wrong till I blew the engine at 90.000 Km due to oil leakage from a hit sump.
Hesitated acceleration (fault accelerator potentiometer) Cost 0.
Rear brake light and ABS (faulty switch under brake pedal) 10 euros.
General comments?
Alfa Romeo dealer in Cambridge is hopeless, but the car is excellent.
Impressive engine 2.0 litre.
Very good brakes.
Very good handling.
7 years later it still looks modern.
Would like a higher ratio 5th gear
travelling at 150 Km/h means 4.5K rpm...
