2003 Jeep Liberty Sport review from North America

This Jeep was running great until 1400 miles when it was brought in for service. The only thing that had to be fixed during the 3 month service was a squaky left rear window and we (my father and I) told the dealer that the tranmission would sometimes bang into drive when shifted. They checked everything and they said the tranmission was fine and it just had to "break in." We picked up the Jeep and the minute my father and I got in at the dealer, as we were driving out, we heard a squak, like if you were pressing the brakes in the rain. But I wasn't pressing the brakes. Thinking that it was just hot that day and the brake pad were maybe stuck together and were breaking apart, we drove away. The next day, I started the car (it was way cooler out) and the same sound came on. But the truck drove fine. The next day is when the trouble came. While I was driving home, I was braking for 40 MPH. At about 25 MPH, there was a loud thumping sound. I told my dad to drive it the next day and we experienced the same thing. We have no clue what happened to the Jeep. We are bringing the Jeep back to get fixed and we have some issues in the way they treat the cars they service. For example, we saw a man from the service department driving one Jeep right over the curb. I know it's a Jeep, but that can cause extensive damage to something under the truck, which might have happened to our truck.

Overall, the Jeep is a great truck. The 3.7L V6 accelerates good and is smooth. The tranmission shifts smoothly, but sometimes bangs into Drive. The design of the truck is great. The build quality is good and everything about the truck is good. I just hope the problems I listed can be fixed.
