1995 GMC Safari review from North America
"A waste of space and money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The 1995 "GMC Safari" was the attempt to appease all of my "Buy American" friends who had complained I was giving foreign workers all of the jobs for buying a 1992 Toyota Camry (which was made in Kentucky, by the way). My Totota Camry now has 200k on it, having been bought used with only 8k on it. My 1995 GMC Safari has not only half of those miles, and I have run into a dozen times more trouble with this wonderful American-Union made piece of junk. The good thing is, it is nearly paid off. The bad news is, I cannot in conscious even give it away for scrap.
General comments?
The first thing to go was the Air Conditioner/Heater motor. The next was the transmission, and the third to go was the engine.
