1991 Oldsmobile Ciera review from North America
"A great place for this car would be the junkyard!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My brake pads have been changed twice since I've had the car.
Engine runs rough at times and diagnostics shows that there is nothing wrong with the car.
The car stalls all the time, especially when it sits for long periods of time.(It's been towed 4 times because of not restarting.)
Transmission is very loud and rough when it downshifts.
Brake system had to be totally rebuilt.
New radiator at 54,000 miles.
New blower motor at 56,000 miles.
General comments?
I bought this car from an older couple who very rarely drove and maybe the problems that I've had may have occurred due to the car sitting for long periods of time.
I've put twice as much money in the car than what I bought it for.
I get nervous when my wife takes it to the grocery store.
When the car is running without any problems it is very comfortable and a smooth ride for long trips.
