2000 Cadillac Escalade review from North America
"A smooth, quiet and classy ride, that can pull a lot"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
One of the rear door speakers blew.
The rear tailgate (glass portion) was rattling.
General comments?
The truck is a gas guzzler, but that was expected before the purchase was made.
The truck rides very well, even with 64k+ miles. There are no rattles (other than the rear glass, which was a quick fix at home), or vibrations and the truck is stable at all speeds.
I purchased this truck because I needed a capable tow vehicle. Although I've never had more than 3500 pounds (ski boat) behind me, the truck pulled it with ease. When I have my double trailer and two Sea Doos behind the truck, I can't even tell that the trailer is back there.
The brakes seem to require a good amount of pedal travel before starting to stop the truck, but they decelerate all the momentum of the heavy truck well enough.
