2000 Ford Explorer Sport review from North America
"A piece of garbage"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This vehicle is a real piece of garbage. So far, the following had to be replaced and/or serviced:
Radio shorting/flashing
Cruise Control failed/replaced
Tire Recall (Firestone fiasco)
Rust on hood and rear areas
leaks like a fishing net in the rear.
Thus far, the vehicle has been in 6 times for severe leak problems in the rear area. The interior luggage tie downs were so poorly engineered, daylight can be seen through them. Also dealer replaced rear window seal due to leaks, and now water is entering through side right side panel.
General comments?
I would highly caution anyone buying this model. Ford just gives me a run- around.
