1997 Peugeot 106 GTi review from UK and Ireland
"A pocket rocket"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A day after purchase I was told the catalytic convertor had blown.
After that I had an AA car inspection test carried out, they found faults with the brakes suspension and steering.
The radiator was falling apart and was also leaking.
I contacted the dealer "Warwick Wright Croydon" who have done an OK job at repairing the car however I do not think I would buy from them again.
There is rattling present when I drive it, this I have yet to investigate.
General comments?
After owning a Fiat Cinquecento this car to me is extremely fast.
It looks great and feels great to drive and I love it when other drivers jaws drop when you beat them away from the lights every time.
It handles well and despite all faults I know I am going to have great fun in this car. (I already have).
The seats hug you nicely however the interior is a bit dated.
