1992 Nissan 180SX review from Australia and New Zealand
"Excellent car with good performance and handling"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Little bit of rust on front left strut tower and lower body in front of the driver's side rear wheel.
General comments?
The SR20 turbo pulls very strong and is very torquey, even off boost. If you want extra performance upgrade the exhaust and dump pipe, as I have done.
The standard intercooler is a little too small for hot weather, so would recommend upgrading if you use the boost a lot.
Handling is very nice, understeering when pushing into a corner too hard. Despite having lots of power you can still boot it around corners and not worry about the tail coming out. I havn't had much trouble in the wet either.
Interior is nice, and having climate control is great. The back seats don't have enough room for an adult to sit comfortably. Also the Standard speakers aren't the best, okay if you listen to soft music, but distorts with any bass.
