What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator went in the first week.
Key was stuck in the ignition and was draining the battery after one month.
Right side tires wear uneven so vehicle pulls which is on going problem.
Driver side window leaks after 50,000 miles.
Passenger side seat adjustment handle has broken off twice.
Steering column broke at 25,000 miles.
Various belts and pulleys broke at 35,000 miles.
Constant service engine soon light coming on.
Driver side seat belt is tricky to snap into place. The belt works when it wants to.
General comments?
This is the absolute worst vehicle I have ever owned. I would never buy another Jimmy ever again.
The dealer charged way to much and I have had problems from day one. The dealer even says it is a piece of junk, but won't do anything about it except trade it in for another vehicle from his lot. Yeah right!
The warranty hasn't covered anything that has broken, and if it did I had to pay the mechanic first and get reimbursed. When I did do that it was difficult to get reimbursed and I only received a check for the cost of the parts and not the labor. The company tried to get out of paying by saying all work needs to be preapproved. When I told them I had gotten approval prior to the work they mysteriously could not find that information on their computers. Convenent for them huh.
In conclusion I would not recommend anyone to buy this vehicle. Unfortunately I am stuck with this vehicle seeing how I owe more than the book value.
