1994 GMC Jimmy SLE review from North America
"Excellent truck on and off road"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
5 speed transmission. replaced clutch at 80000. New clutch cylinders exploded with in a week. Clutch extremely hard to push in. Shops confused as of why. All GM parts used, input shaft on tranny went bad and ruined 2 and 4th gear. Tranny rebuilt, still have issues. NO recalls from factory and seems like one of a kind 4x4 manual for this year.
General comments?
I love this truck, its fast runs smooth and the manual, although low gears are too low, for towing, performance is welcomed on the road.
It is a 4.3L Vortec throttle body which noone has ever seen and a manual transmission which seems rare on that model. It search for ever for these options and this was only one I found. Wanted it to be a project vehicle, have a few add ons for performance throttle riser, exhaust and K&N filer- 23 MPG Highway. Broken into once and other that tranny stuff, and heater core, no other problems at all. Looking to sell in 1 year for new GM model.
