2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS review from North America
"A vehicle is only as good as the dealer's service and manufacturer's warranty and this one stinks!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bought it 3/29/03 on 4/1/03 would not engage in Drive.
This happened 6 more times in the first 25 days of ownership.
On 4/10/03 vehicle would not start.
General comments?
We purchased this vehicle because we liked the looks. A nightmare from day one and Colonial Mitsubishi and the Regional Rep Gary Cassidy were obnoxious and arrogant. They did nothing to repair the vehicle.
We went through the lemon law and won a total refund. At the exchange Mr. Cassidy tried to get us to sign our title over without filling out the buyer information. We refused. This is a way for Mitsubishi to bypass the title being stamped as a lemon. We called Consumer Protection who finally told Mr. Cassidy they would hand the case over to the state attorney general, so they agreed to put 'Mitsubishi Motors' as the 'buyer' on the title. Beware of this company and their practices.
