1997 Chevrolet Blazer review from North America
"Nice size SUV, but a maintenance headache"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Digital direction guide has never worked -serviced 5 times and still does not work
wipers don't work correctly or shut off when turned to off - serviced twice
blown air conditioner at 77K
blown transmission at 86K
replaced serpentine belt at 77K
screws have fallen out of plastic assembly surrounding driver seat 60K
climate controls overlay panels are loose - 30K
still have original brake pads and rotors - 88K miles and 50% still left
still on second set of tires.
General comments?
Love the ride and love the handling
but a maintenance pain
would buy another Chevy Blazer, but only with extended warranty
would not buy the Chevy Trailblazer
will likely purchase Cadillac SUV with extended warranty or Lexus SUV
we've kept the car on the maintenance schedule doing all recommended maintenance at mileage points.
