1996 Dodge Intrepid Base 4-dr sedan review from North America
"A nice-size sedan that is unreliable, poorly built, and not backed by the manufacturer"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A/C failed, and was replaced only after I called Chrysler headquarters in Detroit (dealer wanted $1400 to fix it, but Chrysler replaced it after I researched the problems on the Internet and could document faulty design). Transmission went out at 65,000 miles, and was quoted $1700 to replace (took it to a mechanic who repaired for $400).
General comments?
Lots of other minor breakdowns and poor experiences with dealers for repairs/service have led me to list the vehicle for sale, and decide to never buy Dodge again.
