1999 Nissan Skyline R34 review from Australia and New Zealand

"An expensive unreliable rip off!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

This car has been a lemon ever since I bought it in 1999 after it was imported to Australia that year. Not only that, but it is extremely expensive to be repaired and get new parts.

It has had constant troubles with the turbos.

The fuel injection computer went awry so it was not injecting on the right stroke all the time.

It burns oil all allot.

I have had to replace the spark plugs 3 times already.

The firing order was not correct so it wasn't firing when it was meant to.

General comments?

The engine is shocking and unreliable. It has hardly any torque, so you never get pushed back into your seat. Without the twin-turbos it would seriously be a granny car.

Although I don't like he engine the handling is excellent, it hugs the corners very well! The interior is alright, but isn't good enough for what I paid for it.

I won't buy a Skyline again and I was stupid to in the first place (especially for such an expensive car). Spend your money on a car with power (V8).
