1990 Peugeot 309 GTi review from UK and Ireland
"A Pocket Rocket!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I replaced to Cambelt just because it had done 140000 miles.
It uses quite a lot of oil.
The Battery and Alternator decided to stop working, which was nice. This was mainly due to my stereo (it didn't like my music).
General comments?
I only bought the car in May 2003, so I haven't had the car long. I bought it as a fun car to get me to and from work.
Since I have owned 4 mini's I like cars that handle, and the 309 hasn't let me down, it's not quite the go-kart feeling, but very close. Since owning the car I have fitted a Sportex Exhaust and K&N airfilter, mainly for the noise.
There are only a few rattle's which suprised me due to the mileage and my 15" Rockford Fosgate in the boot.
There is also only one patch of rust which is above the front windscreen, so apart from that it's a clean tidy car.
The car is really comfortable compared to the mini for longer motorway journeys, and the seats really hold you well.
