1998 Dodge Neon Sport review from North America
"For the same money you could have a real car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My head cover gasket blew at 123000 kilometers. The car is way to low. The air conditioning is not functional. The fuel filter failed. The cam sensor gasket leaked. The speedometer totally fried out causing the governor to fool the car into staling like a machine gun. Multiple cylinder misfire. The clutch is going o.k. a standard should not be in a neon. The front windows are scratched from rolling them down. After 100 kilometers the wind screams through the car. Faulty grounds all over the body. Very poor air intake system. The brakes squeal all the time when it is first started. The speed fin on the back makes it hard to back up.
General comments?
The only thing I can say the word sport should not be allowed to the neon name. There can only be so much that a car should go through and for the amount of babysitting this car needs you might as well own a real car that you can have pride in. Just like everyone has told me or I have read is TRUE run while you can, no seriously shoes are cheaper.
