General comments?
My Jeep has served me well, primarily in the harsh Canadian winters when I use it the most.
These vehicles require a higher than normal amount of maintenance, and you have to stay on top of it or things will go wrong fairly quickly.
Fuel economy is poor, but on the other hand power is excellent, no problem passing other vehicles.
The interior is nicely done, and the leather seats fit like a glove. My Jeep has a lot of squeaks and rattles, but I don't even notice them anymore.
If you have a choice, avoid the models with the Bendix ABS brake system, it can be expensive to repair and the pedal effort is on the high side. Some of the parts have a lifetime warranty however.
The engine is very reliable, never had a problem with it. Most older 4.0L engines get noisy with time, suffering from "piston slap" or noisy valves, but this has no impact on reliability or performance.
With the rear seat folded down, lots of cargo room is available. When hauling people however, the back doors make entry and exit difficult.
All in all, a great vehicle for those who keep up with regular maintenance.
