1993 GMC Pickup Sierra review from North America
"Best vehicle I have ever owned!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
EGR Valve quit at 60,000 miles. Replaced under warranty.
2 Fuel pumps.
1 Water pump at 190,000 miles.
2 motor mounts at 250,00 miles.
U-joints at 300,000 miles.
Composite headlight lenses at 350,000 miles.
General comments?
This has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. It replaced a 1976 Chevy Malibu that I drove 330,000 miles. My GMC has the original engine (never been into it) and transmission. I have changed the transmission fluid 4 times in all these years. It still gets about 19-20 mpg. A/C still works great and the thing still has factory muffler on it. (does need to be replace though.) Now at 350,000+ miles still take it on long trips with no worry. It has never left me on the road yet. Drive it about 100 miles every day.
